Usually meets second and fourth Monday in the month at 8pm.
If you enjoy discussions and debates on politics, religion, social affairs, education, life trends – indeed pretty much everything going on – but would enjoy a slightly more formal venue than your local pub, then perhaps we are what you are looking for.
We meet throughout the year on two Mondays most months for a couple of hours, starting at 8pm; and each night we either work through a pre-agreed subject from our programme or address topical issues raised by members on the night. The meetings are chaired and everyone has an opportunity to get his or her opinion across. The formalities are kept to a minimum and the atmosphere is always friendly. Though we meet in a room in a Methodist Church, this is for convenience only, ample parking and level access, and we have no religious affiliations as a body.
Visitors are welcomed free of charge and we hope that anyone attending two meetings will join our Group. Annual membership fee is currently £20, reduced proportionately for new members joining during the year.
